Hi, I’m Shawn, the founder of Honest Business Plans.

I started my first business at 15, running a small postal contract station. From there, I launched and operated a series of ventures, including real estate mail-order operations, a B2B gift business with national sales reps, an international jewelry distribution business, a coffee shop, consulting and website review services, and import and distribution businesses. Over the years, I’ve also built more than a dozen niche websites focused on courses, templates, and practical business resources.

Through all of these ventures, one thing became clear: there’s no shortcut to clear, structured business plan planning. I created Honest Business Plans to share what I’ve learned in a way that’s realistic, actionable, and immediately useful. These templates are not flashy or automated. They are built from real business experience, shaped by hands-on work, mistakes, and practical iteration.
